You can leave it set as widescreen 720x480

However, you need to set Arcsoft to 640x480

Do I set the video output on the console to Normal or Widescreen?
Is normal 640x480 and widescreen 720x480?
Windows 8.1 64 bit

I checked out another thread on the forum, I found using the driver disk and searching for the alternative audio driver through device manager did the trick. I've now got picture and sound working perfectly.
What version of windows are you using?
I have one last issue with this, in both arcsoft showbiz and OBS I can get the device to capture picture and sound fine, but the second it starts being streamed to the internet it gets choppy. I'm still trying to find a solution to this but for personal gameplay / recording to harddrive it works fine. The same settings seem to work for sega saturn too (I had to get a scart adapter as that was the only Saturn wire I had to hand).

Its just that slightly choppy audio I'm getting now, it blips slightly every few seconds, that's all.

Hi EzCAP people! I just wanted to give you all a heads up after reading, re-reading and downloading some things, my EZCAP still works after almost 3 years of non-use and a missing CD. Originally I had some trouble, getting everything back in place, but going over all the documentation (over and over) I was able to get everything up and running.

THe Copyright Video bug fix is new to me, and I am very thankful for it! I may have to go back and find some of the videos I could not original get transferred. The only thing that doesn't match the guide for me, under My PC Properties my device lists USB 2861 Device not 2863 - but this has not affected the operations at all. Not a big deal, so I'm not worried about it.

Thank you for this. Many people with find it valuable and save them a lot of time.
I've worked it out!

I might even do a video on it because I know how frustrating it is trying to search for a solution to problems like this:

I found it in a random video about putting the capture device audio through the system speakers. It can be done by right clicking the volume control and selecting recording devices.

When the Ezcap is plugged in you should see an entry there for a USB device (mine was listed as USB EMP Audio Device with a picture of a red/white audio wire).
Right click > properties > Listen tab, then click the box listen to this device, and select where it should playback (this is your computer speakers, default should work fine for this).
Then, in OBS goto your Video Capture Device source linked to the Ezcap USB video, click open crossbar (it doesn't seem to save this bit so you need to do it every time).
Select SVideo in if like me you've done it with the S-Video cable, leave the link related streams,in the output section switch to the Audio Decoder Out (input box should be empty), select audio Line in for input and press ok.
You should now hear audio as it should be, regardless of whether you've loaded the video into OBS by streaming/recording/previewing yet.
In the Audio box for the Video Capture device, disable it - this stops it doing a jarbling noise when you are streaming. Click ok and make sure your system sound is being recorded.
And that's it, its ready for streaming.
